DASURECO joins NEA’s 56th Founding Anniversary celebration in Bacolod

DASURECO proudly participated in the celebration of the 56th Founding Anniversary of the National Electrification Administration (NEA) and the 16th National Electrification Awareness Month (NEAM), held last August 7, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City.

Representing DASURECO were General Manager Engr. Jerry D. Morastil, PEE and members of the Executive Committee, as well as members of the Board of Directors led by Board President Atty. Glenn F. Solana, CPA, who joined energy leaders, policy makers, and fellow electric cooperatives from across the country in a day-long celebration of rural electrification milestones and energy sector innovations.

With the theme “Powering the Future,” the event opened with a ceremonial Renewable Energy (RE) Expo Ribbon Cutting and messages from top NEA officials and industry leaders, including NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano C. Almeda and Department of Energy Secretary Hon. Sharon S. Garin.

The program highlighted key topics such as photovoltaic mainstreaming, energization of last-mile schools, and natural gas as a future energy source, along with a showcase of rural electrification success stories and innovations. DASURECO’s active participation underscored its continued commitment to rural electrification efforts and its support for NEA’s vision of energy access for all.

As DASURECO celebrates its 50th year of service this 2025, its leaders reaffirmed their unwavering dedication to delivering reliable and sustainable electric service to the countryside, in alignment with NEA’s mission to empower Filipino communities.
